If you want to move all the data into the new Outlook 2003 format .pst file that holds more data, you can create a new .pst file, then import all your archives into it.

Well, importing leaves some data behind, but if it's data you don't need, it
won't hurt. A couple of weeks ago, Russ Valentine posted a list of what
gets left behind in an import. Google Groups will find that list for you.
How do I create a new archive file. It's appealing to start fresh with a
archive file.

If you have no existing archive PST, when you enable autoarchiving, Outlook
should create one and it should be in the Unicode PST format. If you have
an existing PST, rename it (with Outlook closed) and then next time
autoarchive is run, Outlook should create a new one in the Unicode format.
