wheel on mouse isn't working

I have a laptop with a port replicator that I dock the computer into. A
Logitech, wheeled mouse is attached. The wheel no longer works. I thought
the best way to solve this is to go to device manager- mouse and update the
driver for the mouse. However, when I do that, the only option is for the
touchpad, nothing for the mouse. FYI, the mouse works fine otherwise, but
just not the wheel.

Try another wheel mouse. If the wheel works ok, your mouse has a problem..

Try another mouse. Does that one's wheel work? If yes, discard the original
mouse.
