So, what's up with all the links to www.soft30.com, in a freeware
group, to a site where most all the links, if not all, are to
shareware, without any mention in the post that they are NOT freeware?

I for one certainly don't mind mention of shareware in the course of
normal posting and response to queries for software to do this or that,
but over & over lately I have seen so many posts for www.soft30.com
with NO MENTION that they progs are in fact SHAREWARE.

To me, it certainly seems like a bait & switch.

Please, to those posting soft30 links, please specify that the proggie
you're writing up is SHAREWARE, not FREEWARE!

Don't mean to be a curmudgeon, but this has gotten a bit irritating of
late for soft30 links.

Thanks

You just posted the link two more times...

One of the links for a CD application in the alt.comp.freeware links list
for Sept. 15 is a www.soft30.com link. Does that mean it is not freeware and
got snuck in?

I think your post just added www.soft30.com to today's list. Last I heard ALL links are posted in
the alt.comp.freeware links posts (the summary is automated).

It's up to us to identify *undesirable* links - that's quite easy to do - just add a bit of info at
the end of the URL when you reply. for example:

Change http://www.soft30.com/ to http://www.soft30.com/SHAREWARE/

If it still looks likes a link when you're done it should show up in the summary. ;)
