What's the matter with the address bar?

Everytime I click on a link which opens a new window, the
address bar becomes inaccessible because it shows
whatever is behind it in the preceding window. It's
acting like a clear line to peek into the site behind it.

just a thought. have you rebooted in the last while.
windows can be subject to this type of error if left on for
weeks.
