What's going on?

I use Windows Mail. I have a distribution list that I use periodically to
send out information to a number of recipients on a particular subject. One
of those recipients has an aol address. But he never has received any of my
emails even though I've checked his address in my list several times.
Moreover, when I send him a private email, he doesn't receive it.

I asked him to send me an email both to my primary address (Comcast) and to
my secondary address (Gmail). I didn't receive either email. So, what's
going on here?

It seems as if he has some firewall that won't let him send to or receive
emails from ME! Is that possible?

Are you using his correct address and vice versa?

If you send him a message and a copy of the message is found in your Sent
Items folder, the problem lies somewhere outside of Windows Mail, Art.

Yes

The email has his address in the email I sent that's in the Sent file. He
didn't receive it.

He doesn't receive mine and I don't receive his. What's going on???

Send him an email and CC yourself and see if you receive the copy. Have him
do the same. As Bear indicates, the problem is likely with the mail servers
and not with WinMail on your machine.

Whatever is going on is not a problem on your PC or mail installation.
It's betweeen the two systems, on one or both mail servers.

It's possible that both of you are in each other's SPAM filters *on the
servers* and you have to figure out how to get out of them.

Go to the web interface for your mail and look in the junk folder. Mail in
this folder is typically never downloaded by POP clients.

If you see mail there from people you wish to receive mail from, use
whatever tools are available (mark as not junk) to clear this.

Otherwise, contact your mail provider for help in whitelisting that address.
Your contact will have to do the same.
