What'd be impact if I change IPs on all domain controllers

We're in the process of re-IPing our network. I'd like to know the impact, if
any, if I change the IPs on all Windows 2003 domain controllers.
Specifically, I worry about the Active Directory part of it -- will Exchange
2003 still be ablel to talk to them.

Thanks in advanced for any input.

Clients will have the biggest issues. As for your DCs make sure that
the DNS is configured correctly and that your SRV records are updated
after the change. If you are allowing Dyanmic Updates, you should be
fine.

If DNS isn't working, your DCs will stop working. But it is easily
resolved once DNS is fixed.

I would choose one server as the DNS server (preferably a DC or one
that accepts dynamic updates). Then point all the DCs to that as the
preferred DNS, as well as the clients.

I would also do this after business hours, since all the clients will
need to acquire new IPs.

AD will be fine with the changes, assuming you set DNS up right.

regards
Doug
