I am trying to figure out what file extension is called when I place a
music CD in my CD-Rom and it auto-opens, as I am getting an error
message again that says

"Access to the specified device, path or file is denied"

I thought I had it handled when I uninstalled RealPlayer and the program
was changed to WinAmp, but
it began again today. I changed my association of .cda files to Windows
Media Player from WinAmp but that did not do it.

Thoughts?

Have you tried manually opening Windows Media Player, chose Options and
reassign file types?
