what to do with unused cells

When doing a perpetual inventory how do i black out the cells that are not
used after moving on to a new line with inventory updates. (so when others
enter information they enter it into the correct place)

Assuming the cells you want to format ar blank, use Format>conditional
Formatting
with settings "is equal to" and criteria =""
Set format patterns to black
