What replaced Windows Messenger?

What happend with Windows Messenger? I installed Windows Live Messenger
but it appears to lack ability to send out Remote Assistance request.

Nothing.

Windows Live Messenger plugs into the new Remote Assistance client so you
can use it like you used it before. Or you if you just type remote a onto
the start menu the new client will also pop up.

nothing right click on person
go to start activity
second choose from bottom
its just harder to find

Actually, no. That is a replacement for Netmeeting. The replacement for
Windows Messenger is Office Live Communicator from a corporate standpoint
and Windows Live Messenger for the home user.
