Freestyler..the AMD K6-2 100mhz proccesor im not familier with this CPU .. do you know what the Intel Equivelent would be?.. this would give me a better idea of the K6..

The K6-2s performance was fast enough to be a credible challenger to the dominant Pentium II. The K6-2 was originally manufactured in speeds of 266 & 300 MHz. The 300 MHz chip saw the introduction of the 100 MHz bus over the conventional 66 MHz bus used by the 266 MHz chip.

I still have a few K6s ... 500, 600 & 650. If anybody wants one, you pay £5 P&P and email me an address, its yours. One only per person.

I had an old P1 75MHz - was in the first family computer that was capable of running windows

I dropped a rock on it i was interested as to what in inside looked like - very complicated - even though it was like 7 years old if not more !!

And, to be honest, you'd be lucky to find a board to take one of those now. But if somebody had an old board with no processor, Mucks' offer could be a Godsend, such a system would still be usuable for Office Stuff, Making a Server, installing DOS 6.22 and playing Doom, the possibilities are endless

I was thinking of getting a media centre PC too... Saying that Media Centre is just software.. i want to concentrate on getting the Hardware Configeration right first....
