I want to know what a LAN Shell is everytime i connect to the internet for
like five minutes a lil message says its not respondin and about 2 minutes
after that my computer shuts down by itself. CAN Anyone HELP???????????????

I would strongly recommend installing Service Pack 2
for Windows XP after removing the Sasser worm.

I'd say you have a virus.

You need to purchase and install an antivirus program, and keep it updated.

Your computer is infected with the SASSER worm.

Also you need to reformat if necessary. I got a problem like that in one
computer which did not even allow me to access the internet using dial up.
That is called msblast or somthing it is also a virus that shuts down your
computer. Download free AVG virus scan. That is the best. I suggest better
than Norton. Type in GOOGLE. Also I like NORTON FIREWALL 2003 PRO only in the
Norton products. Difference between Norton and AVG? Norton cannot find when a
virus replace with system files also if a virus just stand alone in the
computer after downloading from the internet. AVG found 4 viruses like that
whereas Norton find nothing in my comput er one time. So I use AVG. Yes, you
got a virus.

REMEMBER! IF YOU BOUGHT A COMPUTER, NEVER GO ON-LINE WITHOUT A VIRUS GUARD.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION FIREWALL IS ON IN THE LAN OR DIAL
UP. TRY TO PUT A FIREWALL LIKE NORTON. DO NOT PUT NORTON ANTIVIRUS. THAT SUX.
NORTON 2004, TOO BAD, SLOWS DOWN YOUR COMPUTER. ONLY PUT FIREWALL NORTON
PRODUCT. WELL, OUT POST FIREWALL IS GOOD TOO. I HAVE NOT USED TO THAT.

I'd recommend you turn on your PC's firewall and then go to
http://housecall.trendmicro.com and do the free online virus scan.
