What is the safest way to install SP2 ?

I am afraid that it will crash my laptop... is there a way to revert if it
fails ?

Check with the manufacture of your laptop, for their recommendations.

DON'T!Go to your manufacturers web site download the
updates you need from them.Turn off auto updates,check
back here in two months and see if you see post after
post of problems.
