what is the diference between windows officexp and windows homexp

have just bought computer with windows xp offfice and found out it is not
genuine and cannot get updates.
mainly use for downloading music and music software, word processing and
video. unsure what to buy office or home

Office will cost more than XP, and Office with Access (database) will
cost more than Office with Word (word processor) and Excel (spreadsheet)
but without Access.

Concerning XP, probably XP Home will do what you want just as well as XP
Pro, which you would need if you're running a server for several other
computers.

Access will do a good job of organizing your music and software, but
probably not so much better than you can do (e.g.) with Excel that it's
worth the extra expense. But getting a copy of Access and learning to
use it can make you aware of ways in which it can do an especially good
job of organizing and analyzing information, so perhaps you can justify
the cost that way.
