how do i clear out an unwanted client certificate from my personal
store in IE6 (xp pro sp2)?
with netscape 7 all i have to do is hit reset master password & it
purges everything & you can start from fresh.
the reason i want to remove it completely is that during some
experimentation i exported this certificate to a file (unknowingly
losing the private key in the process),then subsequently i removed it
from IE6 with the remove button, then i tried re- imported it (to a
store named 'Personal' ).
IE6 reported it successfully imported it. And when I visit a site
requireing client site certificates, IE displays it as one of the
client certificates in the choose a cert list .
but in the Tools/options of IE i cant find this certificate. it is not
in the Personal list of certificates.If it was there i could select it
and remove it with the remove button.
