Every time I close my computer I get the End Program box which says Ending
ccApp. It only appears for a second then goes away without me clicking on
it. What is ccApp? I have W XP SP2.
Thanks
Tony

ccApp.exe is the common hosting application that is used for both NAV
and NIS. ccApp is responsible for calling the different program
features of NAV and NIS.

Hi:

I assume you have installed Symantec firewall and/or anti-virus product.

ccApp is part of the program which has to be loaded during start up, and
sometime may cause problems as stated.

If I remember correctly, Symantec's KB article says it's because the
computer is closing too fast while ccApp is till trying to close down.

You may wish to search Symantec's site for more information and sorry for I
don't remember the article's name.

Hope this helps.

It is part of the Norton/Symantac virus, and the only real way to get
rid of it completely is by doing a clean install of XP, and installing a
real AV and/or Firewall program(s).

are you saying this is a virus or did you mean part of the virus
program?/??

I'm saying Norton/Symantec products are just as bad as some viruses and
should be uninstalled and replaced by better products.

For some unknown reasons, this reply was lost in its way to the group.

Final note, ccApp should not be disabled (according to Symantec) and it
should not be a problem if you have installed latest updates.

Hope this helps.
