What is best XP speaker setup for 2.1 speakers?

The control panel has no entry for 2.1. The nearest seems to be
"Surround sound" or "5.1". Is there a preferred setting for a 2.1 setup?

The best setting is: Desktop Stereo speakers, unless you have surround sound.
This setting is also great if you are using a sub-woofer.
