what is a win 32 program

when i try to use .exe files i get a message that say
something like: Install\lunch is not a valid win 32
program. and then i cant use the file. in this case it
was the auto run for star wars jedi knight jedi academy
game that i bought today... to bad try agin? pleas help me

Try copying the file to the hard disk, if you recieve a
transfer error or 'can't read from source' error you have
a bad disc or CD-ROM drive. Try another disc.

If you get it for many programs, check your system for
Viruses such as W32.Sircam.
