What is a TOC and TOA Generator? How do I prepare either one or b

TOC is the acronym for "Table Of Contents." TOA is the acronym for "Table of
Authorities" (like a Bibliography table). The remainder of your question is
cut-off in your post, Cocostar so I am not sure what specifically you are
asking. You can access this functionality by this menu path:
Insert-->Reference-->Index and Tables.
 
It is usual to put the full question in the body of the message; yours is
