Continuous Section Breaks are used to establish 'invisible barriers' between
one part (Section) of a document and the next. They are primarily used for
enabling layout differences in the various Sections, especially since you can
have several section breaks on the same page. One simple example: Section 1
may be regular single column layout , but the next Section can be multiple
columns such as you might want in a newsletter. There are *many* other
purposes served by section breaks as well.
