What if "Genuine Windows validation" fails?

What happens when a PC fails "Genuine Windows validation"? Is it
banned from downloading from Microsoft sites? Is it allowed to repeat
the validation process?

use it later. Guess James might start thinking now about getting a
legit copy of Windows.

Or, should it be a fully legitimate copy - that came installed on a new
machine from a reputable maker, or was a retail box - he should get in
touch with MSoft with details. At present this system is to an extent
being tested, to see if a wider range of illicit Keys can be detected
reliably, and there is the possibility of False Positives, which they
would like to hear about
