What has happened????

I am so frustrated. Friend came over, said my computer was slow and
proceded to install adware. Things were quarantined but then my
internet connection was lost. My computer is shared with another for
internet. The ip address was wrong and I could not change it. Finally
restored what I could from adware and uninstalled adware. Got internet
back but kept getting message that it encountered a problem and must
close. So I tried a restore point- no resolution. Then did a system
recovery, have not made a back up disk ( duh) but this option was for
xp to recover itself without a recovery disk. Anyway the problems now:
At start up
doc/settings/owner/desktop not accessible
access denied

then
error occured trying to open pconfig

also
failed to load vender pref

I can't do anything on this computer now, can anyone help? please.

Seek a professional that can look at your computer.
You likely did *not* want to put the adaware back on.
