I have used Master Documents in Word 2003 to assist with translation work.
Find and replace allows me to do massive changes through the Master Document
that contains manner subdocuments. These subdocuments have to remain separate
and stand alone to be view independently. They only work together during the
translation phase. Word 2007 has a section for Master Documents on Outline
view. But it sometimes destroys the 2003 doc format and replaces the links
with error messages. The help files are good for Word 2003 but don't seem to
exist for Word 2007 and how to use Master Documents in the new version.
