What, exactly, is a 'normal' browser?

What makes you think anyone owes you any explanation about the character of
a well-respected contributor to the newsgroups, who is also a long-time
Microsoft MVP? He didn't become a MVP based on lies.

You are an absolute basket case.

: Once again there may be a simple explanation. I'm all ears!

Worse than a "basket case" !

The follwoing posted by BoaterDave is a threat of LE action without basis and admission to
have done likewise with Peter Foldes...

"On the other hand, you may not be whom you say you are. Perhaps the
security services will pay you a visit just as they did Peter Foldes."

On the other hand, you may not be whom you say you are. Perhaps the
security services will pay *you* a visit just as they did Peter Foldes.

You are one seriously demented and disturbed individual.

I'd strongly suggest that you consider what we do for a living and then
consider that our contacts with various security services around the world
are likely closer than yours. You want to watch who you threaten you dirt
bag.
You are a complete and utter waste of space.

Touching a nerve, am I Mr Adare?

Tell me, where in the world were you when you posted your message?
Surely not wide awake in Canada at 07:49 GMT?

You yourself said "Folks, please don't feed the troll" and yet here you
are doing that very thing. Why is that?

I've thought about your comment regarding what you do for a living. Most
folk are caring, loving and good. Others are not ....... and some even
wish to kill and maim us. I have absolutely no idea into which camp you
fall - there is no way of knowing really. As I said to your partner, you
may not be whom you say you are! I have threatened no-one, but if the
Police, Security Services, CIA etc actually DO monitor these newsgroups,
they might just be interested in folk who are upset by simple questions.

Have a great day!

These newsgroups were designed, I thought, for folk to help one another.

You, Tom, must know these people personally or you couldn't really vouch
for them, could you?

If they are good guys, that's great ......... but no-one, not anybody,
has answered my original question.

The long-standing MVP stated that I should use a 'normal' browser - and
then fails to explain what he meant. Others reading here would like to
know I'm sure.

You may not think so, but *I* believe he owes everyone here an
explanation, not just me.

Dave

"............ that just because someone answers your queries that they
are your friend and buddy".

It is precisely because they do NOT answer my queries that I try to dig
deeper.

Just so you know.

What I am asking should not be too taxing for any normal human being to
answer.

Is the fellow described here
http://www.x-cd.com/techmentor/brian_komar.html the same individual as
the President of IdentIT Inc., details of whom may be found here
http://www.identit.ca/management.html ?

I could, of course, contact the folk at TechMentor events and take
matters forward in that way, but why should that be necessary? I'm
really gullible and anyone here could pretend to be Brian, simply say
'yes' and I'll believe them!

Yes, it's the same person, I've known both Brian and Paul for nearly 8
years.

G'day Wayne!

I guess there's a fair chance that this is you? http://www.murrumba.net/
:)

When you say you 'know' Brian and Paul, do you mean personally
(face-to-face meetings) or simply 'on-line'?

Regardless, can you hazzard a guess as to why neither of them will enter
a sensible dialogue with regard to the errors which show up on their web
site when using a browser other than Internet Explorer? Do *you* spot
the errors? Look here for an example (dark grey bar towards bottom of
the page) http://www.identit.ca/clients.html Please note that they
still have no clients listed either!

Thanks for your post.

Numerous face to face meetings.

Both Brian and Paul have created a rule in their newsreaders that
effectively deletes all messages that you post to the newsgroup.
Colloquially, this is called the "bozo bin", they simply do not see
any of your messages.

I only use IE. They list no clients for a very good reason: security.
The companies and organisations they advise, and the implementations
carried out are all "business-in-confidence". They cannot and will not
break those confidences.
Both Brian and Paul are highly respected, world-wide. One thing both
of them detest is fools.

No problem.

The biggest surprise in your responses, Wayne, is the fact that you
"only use IE" ! That may provoke comments from others reading here! ;)

It makes no sense to me to have a web page relating to one's clients if
there is no intention of listing any - *ever*!

I have no reason to doubt what you have said and thank you once again
for taking the trouble to post your comments.

I've been reflecting on your responses, Wayne.

Qualys, Inc., the leading provider of on demand vulnerability management
and policy compliance solutions, helps organizations of all sizes
discover vulnerabilities, ensure regulatory compliance and prioritize
remediation according to business risk - with no infrastructure to
deploy or manage. QualysGuard®, the company's flagship service, conducts
automated security audits and provides the quickest route to neutralize
worms and other emerging threats. Distributed scanning capabilities and
unprecedented scalability make QualysGuard the ideal choice for both
SMBs and large, distributed organizations. More.

This company is, I believe, a front-runner in corporate security. It
pulishes a list of *its* customers here http://www.qualys.com/customers/

Hmmm! Perhaps the clients of IdentIT are higher profile.

Dave

PS I din't spot any errors on the Qualys web site either! ;)
