What does this error message mean?

For the last couple of days I've noticed increasing number of error
messages when I opened and closed certain application programs.

rundll32.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x7c9105f8" referenced memory at "0x003d0010". The
memory could not be "read"

The first reference is constant and the second varies a bit.

I am not sure if another problem is related to what I posted before.

Now I see the area in the Task Bar where open applications listed has
been shrunken to a single column and I have to click on the up or down
arrow to view the names of the open programs. What do I need to do to
fix it?

When Ever I close out of yahoo or other applications I get this internet
error message. Sayin something about incountering a problem and that I can
let microsoft know about it and it says it's sending a report but nothing is
being done about it. Why do I always get this and how can I get it to stop
everytime I close out of something?
