What does the RTM in Windows RTM stand for?

RTM- Released To Manufacturing - i.e. Now ready to be released and burned on to CD.

If I understand you correctly, this version would be the
OS thats pre-installed on a new PC. Not the version sold
in stores or on MS Select CD's?

And in the context of windows updates, referring to XP, means the
'original' 2001 release, as opposed to one that has had SP1 included or
installed
