I run Windows XP Home.

Where can I learn more about what Windows Remote Destop Connection can do
for me, and how to use it?

Is it similar, in function and features, to pcAnywhere?

I'm on DSL with my desktop pc, and need to be able to remotely hookup with a
desktop pc which has dialup.

First, DSL will only connect you to the Internet. You will not be able to
connect to another PC that used dial-up, unless that PC is already connected
on the Internet when you start the Remote session.

Remote Desktop is similar to pcAnywhere.
