We have a number of XP SP3 computers running a Pervasive-based
application. The problem we're having is that if a user tries to start
and use the program from home using remote desktop, the application will
not open. If we log in with pcAnywhere or VNC, we can open the program
and then operate it from RDP, but that's a hassle.
Back when I used to work with servers that had Terminal Services, I
recall that for programs to be used in Terminal Services, they had to be
installed using a different procedure than just installing like any
other Windows program. (I never did it, but I understood that they had
to be installed through Add/Remove Programs.) Is it possible that RDP
requires the program to be installed through Add/Remove Programs to be
able to work with remote desktop?
