| Hello Craig,
|
| Thank you for using newsgroup!
|
| Based on my experience, this similar behavior may be caused by routers
that
| automatically end idle connections or has an automatic logoff screen
saver
| enabled.
|
| For the second factor, you may remove the screen saver from the settings
on
| the terminal server for the user.
|
| For the first factor, we may enable RDP keep alive packets.
|
| Make the following registry changes on the RDP client machine:
|
| Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
| [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client]
| "Keep Alive Interval"=dword:00000001
|
| Make the following registry changes on the terminal server:
|
| Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
| [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server]
| "KeepAliveInterval"=dword:00000001
| "KeepAliveEnable"=dword:00000001
|
| Hope that helps!
|
| Thanks & Regards,
|

| | Hi,
| | Is there a way to change the length of time so that Remote Desktop
doesn't
| | log you off? Also, I installed the RDP on to a Windows 2000 Pro (which
I
| | downloaded from Microsoft) machine but I noticed I don't have the
"Option"
| | functionality that I do with my Windows XP RDP. I need to be able to
print
| | but I'm not sure how to access the local printer is there something I
| | missed?
| |
| | Thanks, Craig
