I'd like to be able to create a remote SSH tunnel to allow a friend to
connect back to my computer via RDP (directly with RDP, not with Remote
Assistance). When I create a tunnel on the remote machine that goes back to
"localhost:3389" they are able to connect to the local machine and get a the
login prompt for my host, however, after they enter the right password the
screen just goes black and stays there - never completing the login.
I know RDP works on my local machine, and I know the tunnel is passing data
no problem. Is there something about RDP that's not allowing a local IP
address to connect to the server?
