What does a post icon next to a contact mean?

In Outlook 2007, some of the contacts in the same folder have a "post" icon
and others have a "contact" icon. When you go into properties the information
and options available are different. I can not find anything that the "post
icon" contacts have in common, or how they are different to the "contact
icon" contacts.
It has only recently started to behave this way. Others in the office are
experiencing the same and are starting to get worried.
What does it all mean?

Have you tried restarting Outlook with the /cleanviews command switch or
have you tried resetting the folder's view to its default?

Have you recently installed any add-ins? A CRM add-in for example?
