Strange icon next to contact

MeliseG

I am using Outlook 2007. I created a new contact and for some reason it has
an odd icon and the contact doesn't show up when I try to send an e-mail.
The icon is a little note with a thumbtack in it.

As I said before, when I try to type an e-mail to this person, Outlook
doesn't find the contact, even when I specifically look in my personal
contacts listing (I am on a company-wide network and have access to numerous
shared contact listings).

I tried to recreate the contact from scratch again, and the second contact
also was labeled with this odd icon.

I was looking at the custom forms, but I never created one (at least not on
purpose). How do I delete the custom form (or recreate this contact using a
standard contact form)?

that icon is the default icon for custom forms - did you create a custom
contact form?

Hopefully this isn't a duplicate reply. I did look at the custom forms on
this contact, but never made any type of form (that I am aware of). And,
when I go into the contact, I do not see any custom form anywhere. However,
if I did, how can I either delete the form, or recreate the contact without
re-activating the form. As I said before, right now the contact does not
show up when I try to send an e-mail to him, even when I search the contacts
folder that holds his card.

Get docmessageclass (link to it is here:
http://outlook-tips.net/archives/2004/20040525.htm) and run it. it will
tell you if you have more than one form in use in the folder and you can
change everything to the ipm.contact form.
