What codec is used when importing digital video in DV-AVI format?

What codec is used by MM2 when bringing in digital video in DV-AVI format
from my camera? How can I identify the codec on my WinXP system? Can I
replace this codec with another one, if desired?

Hi Richard,

The DV Video Encoder and Decoder on my laptop are in the
c:\Windows\System32\qdv.dll file

It's in the list of codecs, which you can look at using GSpot, a free
utility. See the Problem Solving... Acceleration and Codecs page of
www.papajohn.org for some codec info and a link to GSpot.
