What are the Bubbles by a Recipient's Name?

When composing an email, many times a little bubble will appear next to the
recipient's name. If I move over it, a menu appears.

What exactly is the purpose of this feature, and how do I edit or disable it?

Thank you,

That's the Messenger presence icon. It shows you if a person is online. You
should be able to configure its use here: Tools menu > Options > Other tab.
Check or Uncheck the "Enable the Person Names Smart Tag" box

If it's in the message body, it's a smart tag. Either in Word or when
composing the message, go to Tools,
Autocorrect, SmartTags and disable the tags.

if it;'s in the To/CC field, it's still a SmartTag :) but is disabled in
Outlook's Tools, Options, Other tab.

Some people have a bubble and some people have a "msn messenger man" what are
the differences and can you change them?

Hi All,

was wondering if you could tell me how I can load all my details into my
outgoing smart tag. I have windows outlook 2003.

I have all my details under my own name in my own contacts but when ever I
send an email it just gives the other person the basic 4 fields when they
click "add outlook contact" after clicking my smart tag??

Any help would be appreciated as I have searched the programme high and low
to no avail.

Regards,
