WEP no WPA

S

Sheldon Roger

I have a two computer network connected thru a Linksys WRT54G router.
The first computer is hard wired and the second uses a wireless
connection to the router. Both machines use Win XP SP2.

I have been unable to enable WPA with a pre-shared key and TKIP, but
WEP works OK. The adpater is an WMP54g version 4. Used WPA before
upgrading to SP2.

TIA for help.

Try downloading the latest XP version of the wireless card device driver
from the mfr's website & install it in Device Manager.

Upgraded firmware on the router, just released and now have WPA-PSK.

Excellent! Glad it's working.
