Welcome screen and User account

After updating with service pack 2, my user account doesn't pop up on the
welcome screen for me to click on before displaying my desktop like it did
before. I have selected "welcome screen" from the "how to log on" list from
control panels. The blue screen appears for a couple of seconds(with
"welcome" but without my user name) and then goes directly to my desktop.
Is there something missing or is there a way to correct this? It's there
when it's password protected, but would like to restore it to how it was
before. Thanks.

Try downloading and installing Tweak UI for XP at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe
In Tweak's "tree", click on the word "Logon".
An option box with "Show [User Name] on Welcome screen" will be
revealed.
Check the box , click "Apply" and "OK".
(Sorry for the sloppy typing.)

This is a link to an outdated version of TweakUI for XP. Here is a link to the newer version.

Microsoft TweakUI Powertoy for Windows XP.

That's odd, Ron! The link I gave is where I got my version (2.10.0.0).
It's the "same" version, but different in size (mine is larger)! (?)

Not sure, but that link you posted is the link to the old pre XP SP1 version of the program.
