For some strange reason the posts I've done using WM are not being received
by me on WM but I can read them using the web based reader, everyone else's
posts are received ok, weird or what?

I think I may've cured it now, I went into accounts, Microsoft communities,
properties & unchecked where I sign into windows live id, but I will look
into your suggestion,

Phil.

In WM go to Tools, Options, Read, uncheck "Get 300 headers at a time".

Sounds like you are talking about WLM instead of WM.
WM can't use a Live ID for anything.

WM does use Live ID to sign into 'communities message rating features'. It
adds the MVP Logo to our posts also.

It IS the cause of the OP's problem!

'get headers' is a different problem, since it would / could reduce the
number of posts downloaded on a physical visit to a newsgroup.

The easiest way to disable 'communities message rating features' is via
tools>options>general.

I along with many other users, and MVP's who use WM, are seeing this
problem.

I should also point out, along with my previous post, that MS are aware of
the problem involving the 'communities message rating features', and are
working to resolve it.

I stand corrected. I've had that Communities feature disabled
for so long (18 months) that I forgot it existed!
I went to the settings location the OP mentioned, but there
was nothing pertinent there.

The reason you haven't got the windows live id log in is you have unchecked
the ratings option & that removed the relevant menu, I've just found that
out myself

Phil.

That is correct.
