weird stuff happening

I made my first movie without any problems; now when my
second movie is nearly finished, window movie maker 2 is
flaking out. When I try to add a transition, nothing
happens. When I go to storyboard view, most clips are
represented twice, though you can't select the second
copy of the clip. When trying to add a 'title page' in
the middle of the movie, or to change the order of clips,
weird stuff happens, the clips going places I didn't put
them or disappearing altogether, or a huge gap appears in
the middle of the timeline. Then the program hangs. I've
been doing all these things fine up till now. Don't
understand what's changed. I am able to save it, but it's
not perfect yet and any editing stuffs it all up.
Any advice please...

That's the first I've heard of that kind of problem. You're right - weird
stuff happening. Are you using MPEG2 source files by any chance?

Do you have other computer problems? Is MM2 freezing with the project file
open, and possibly corrupting it by the freeze?
