Weird Problem. Need help.

I'm receiving a strange alert message. It only started a few minutes ago, and
I've never seen it before:

"Files that Windows needs to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized
versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original
versions of these files."

It then asks me to put in the Windows XP CD. Problem is, when I do so, I get
another error message telling me that I put in the wrong CD. The error
messages just won't go away either.

Hi

See if this helps:

Have look in Windows Explorer for a folder named

i386

Then instead of using the XP CD, point towards the i386 folder.
