Windows File Protection alert

I just got a window’s alert that says Windows File Protection: Files that
are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized
versions. To maintain system stability Windows must restore the original
versions of these files. Then under more info it says it could be because a
wrong CD is in, to put the correct CD in. I have no idea what is going on
here. Last night before I went to bed I was copying images from compact
flash cards (6 cards) that was the only thing that was put into the computer.
I am not sure what to do here. Can someone give me some direction as what
to do? I am running a virus san right now. Windows update is set to notify
me not to install also.
Thanks

I just tried all the compact flash cards and it definitely wants a CD. I
never had a CD in the Computer yesterday. What does it want?
