Weird Notepad problem

I can open notepad fine by double-clicking on it, or a direct shortcut to it.
But whenever I double-click on a .txt file, or right click and open with...
notepad, (or even open with... browse... notepad) my computer does nothing.
Notepad is also my default viewer for html source code in explorer, and when
I view source, nothing happens. Anybody know what's up?
 
Change your setup to WordPad, NotePad is very small and cannot open large
txt files.
