work...so i restart and it still doesnt and i go to use
internet explorer and i get this for a homepage:

this is weird! so i have to keep changing it. Everything
has to have http:// to it now. also, i get popups with
title Only The Best with it advertising something when i
use IE and whenevr i use IE now as soon as i run it(after
changing homepage thru properties) i notice an exe runs(a
system exe). once it runs the homepage goes back. so i
delete these exes and each time i rerun IE it has some
other exe. i must have deleted about 20. they werent
created today...they were said to be created for a while

JAM packed with malware, dialers, adware, spyware and maybe a trogen or two,

Now you need to get adaware, spysweaper, spybot search and destroy and do a
full system scan with an updated virus scanner. Im sure someone will
assigne the links to you if you dont bother reading any other posts
regarding spyware and stuff.
also get the msn toolbar OR google toolbar which ever you prefer.
best o luck saka. ;)
after you use the tools i mentioned things should be back to normal.
goodluck to you.

if your norton is currupt you should do an online scan at the least (dont
install an AV on an infected os)
http://g.msn.com/9SE/1?http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
and/or
http://g.msn.com/9SE/1?http://www.symantec.com/securitycheck
******************
anyways if your still watching this thread, (which you should be) the dates
on your exe files are in correspondence to the date it was made or setup
(its creation date not instalation date). if you "view details" in any
folder you will see that some files where created in 1999 2002 regardless of
when you setup or installed your system/program.
hope this answers your other question
