WebSTAR DPX 100 Driver XP crash

So every hour or so my computer crashes and the error
report says its the drivers for my modem, and to update,
so i've installed the updates, and its still crashing, if
not even worse, and now the computer makes random
noises :S
 
If the modem offers a Ethernet connection method, use that instead of USB.
