I am trying to connect my laptop and my dell pc to the internet via a WebSTAR
DPX USB Cable Modem and Q-Tec 790RH broadband router.
Problem is although everything claims to be connected and enabled it isn't.
I can't actually view the Internet on either computer.
I followed the set up instructions enclosed with the router but am really
confused by the following....
To connect a cable modem with the broadband router check the cable with the
related users guide, (undefined where do i find this ) undefined then the
cable modem will autoatically configure itself. The broadband router is
configured to automatically assign addresses to each PC.
Fill up the MAC address of the network adaptor where the DNS server need a
certain address with the network adaptor, or press the "Clone MAC Address.
I went to the WebSTAR DPX USB Cable Modem website but it says I shouldn't
need to register the MAC address.
please help
