I have a home network on a wired router. My laptop running Win ME does not
have this problem so I don't think it is the router.
The problem is with my desktop running Win XP with service pack 2 installed.
Every time I try to run a link for live streaming video at a website, IE
crashes. I also tried this with the latest versions of Netscape, Firefox and
even Real Audio.
I have tried turning off and on all firewalls but it makes no difference.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Streaming video uses a TEMP folder. You might look into the possibility it
is running out of space.

If this is WMP 9 instead of 10, you could try reinstalling it. You could try
making a new ID to see if that worked.

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW

How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile:

WMP 9: You can reinstall it from "%systemdrive%\program files\windows media
player\installer\mpsetupxp.exe"

I am using WMP 10 and have done a scandisk with option checked to repair any
damaged files already. (if this is the same type of command).
Live streaming video crashes not only WMP but IE, Netscape, Firefox, Real
Audio as after reading the posts by others relating to MP3 problems, I
suspect that it was the installing of WinXP service pack that has caused the
problem.
Thanks
