Obtain and run CWShredder. This program will attend to all CoolWebSearch
related items. Also, you might want to install Ad-Aware and Spybot Search
and Destroy as well. Let Ad-Aware "do it's thing". If it detects
Alexa-Related Links; (IE>tools>related links) you may want to keep that if
you use it. With Spybot S & D, *Only* remove items that are RED in color. DO
NOT clean or remove items which appear in Green or Black at this time.
Install these programs, Read The help files, and update them immediately as
they may not have all the most current definitions and files to deal with
the latest threats.

How do I uninstall the Search Toolbar?
If you decide that the Search Toolbar is not right for you, you can easily
remove it through the Add/Remove Programs menu in your Microsoft Windows
control panel. To uninstall your Search Toolbar, please do the following:
Click on the Start button and select Settings and then Control Panel. If you
are running Microsoft XP, you can go directly to the Control Panel from the
Microsoft Windows Start button.
When the Control panel window opens, double-click on the Add/Remove Programs
Icon.
When the Add/Remove Programs Properties window opens, locate the listing for
'Search Toolbar' that you would like to uninstall from the list of installed
programs.
Click once on the program to be uninstalled and then click on the Add/Remove
button and follow the instructions.
<end paste>
I wouldn't trust them to provide any better uninstall instructions than I
would trust them in the first place.
