webpages will not load, because of an error problem...

hello,
everytime i click on the internet explorer icon, it
freezes up on me, and goes really slow (most of the
time)... and once i go t a webpage up, and i noticed in
the loading section at the bottom, an error message which
read:
"Opening page
res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/dnserror.htm..." I
just wondered if any of you could help me resolve this
problem, what can i do?

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
