Webpages Issue

My question is if there is a switch that controls when
a webpage takes presidense over another. I often open up
several web pages at once (using CNTRL-N) to view diff.
webpages at the same time. I can't stand it when while I'm
reading one page, another finishes loading up (or an
annoying popup comes along) and then the computer switches
to the page that just loaded. Its irritating. Any ideas?

Dave, what SHOULD be happening is that the program should open minimized,
and its button in the task bar should turn dark blue and blink. It is a good
system. Do you have Service Pack 1?
