The author seems to have other (temporary?) occupations now.
He wrote a lot of great programs, and has them devided across a few
webspace-providers.
The programs stored on jansfreeware.com are available for download, the
programs stored elsewhere are not available for download.
Some of his accounts have been terminated, like the one where, amongst
other programs, piccolo is/was stored, that link brings you here:

I can't find any of his programs listed elsewhere, so I'm afraid we can't
get hold of them untill the author gets his 'webspace-issues' resolved.

I can't find any way to communicate with him other than to join his
mailing-list, which I did. I will report back if I hear any more about this
problem.
