Hi,
I just slipstreamed my Windows XP CD with SP2 and reinstalled my whole
computer. Everything works fine, so far. But: when I try to add a new
network place over the wizard (in the "My Network Places" folder), it
throws a
"The folder you entered does not appear to be valid. Please choose
another."
If anybody with SP2 could try to add the following folder:
"https://mediacenter.gmx.net", that would be very helpful.
I have a clean installation here, no junk system. I don't remember
setting anything preventing SSL-connections, and I also don't need a
proxy.
Actually, when I omit the "s" of "https", the system "thinks" a short
moment, and there is network activity. When I try plain "https", it
immediately shouts the error message at me.
All solutions on the web I've found are for Microsoft
Office-installations only ... so anybody else experienced that problem?
Thanks,
Michael
