Web sites with Java Does not work

Hello,
I am working with IE6, when I first started a web site
with Java script, the browser asked me if I want to
download Microsoft Virtual Machine, I accidently select
no. Now none of the web sites with Java is dispalyed
correctly and the question is not asked any more. Does
anyone know what to do?
